Privacy policy
This is what we do all day: recruit technology and IT professionals.
What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it and how to ask us about it.
- No upfront fee
- Pay only if you hire
- Technology only
- We reach engineers who aren't on job boards
- Replacement guarantee on standard searches
Who we are
This website is operated by Royalty Talent LLC under the trade name Technology Headhunters. In this policy, we and us mean Royalty Talent LLC.
This policy is a plain description of our practices. It has not yet had a formal legal review, and we will update it when it does.
What we collect
When you submit a form we receive what you type: your name, company, email address, phone number, the role and location you describe, how you found us and any notes. When you choose the consent box we also record that you did.
We record the page you submitted from and any campaign tags in the address, such as utm parameters. Our servers keep ordinary technical logs, which include your IP address and browser details. We do not ask for resumes, and we do not take file uploads.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and to run searches you ask us to run.
- To keep a record of enquiries and conversations in our customer records, which we use to follow up, to avoid contacting you twice and to understand which pages bring useful enquiries.
- To send you email directly related to your request, including the client overview if you ask for it.
- To protect the website, for example by detecting spam and abuse.
Candidates and permission to share
If you send a profile as a candidate, we use it to consider you for searches. We do not share your name or details with an employer without your permission for that specific introduction. We do not tell your current employer that you contacted us, and sending a profile is not an application and does not guarantee contact or any result.
Who else handles information
We use service providers to run the website, store records and deliver email. They process information on our behalf for those purposes. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising networks.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and candidate profiles for as long as they are useful for the purposes above, and we review them from time to time. We remove information sooner if you ask us to, unless we need to keep a record for a legal or contractual reason.
Your choices and how to reach us
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the contact form and say that it concerns your information. We will reply to the email address you give us.
Rights vary by place of residence. We will respond to reasonable requests regardless of where you live.
Cookies and first-party measurement
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The private admin area uses a signed session cookie for sign in, and a request cookie protects the client overview download.
Browser session storage keeps a random visit identifier and campaign tags as you move between pages. We record form views, starts, the second step, successful submissions, booking clicks and call clicks in our own database to understand which pages and sources lead to requests. These event records do not contain the values you type into form fields; your inquiry is stored separately when you submit it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page.
Working with Technology Headhunters
When is the recruiting fee due?
There is no upfront fee for our contingency search. You pay only if you hire someone we present, under the terms of the signed agreement.
How long does it take to see a short list?
We first need to agree the opening and qualify people against it. Availability and the interview requirements affect the search; we do not promise a fixed deadline before reviewing the work.
What happens if a candidate receives a counteroffer?
We discuss the reason for considering a move before you invest in interviews. A counteroffer can change the decision, so we revisit that reason rather than assume more pay will settle it.
What are the replacement terms?
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
What don't you do in a permanent search?
We do not bill by the hour for permanent search or charge a retainer unless one is agreed. We do not treat reposting your job advertisement as headhunting.
