How much does a technology recruiter cost with Technology Headhunters?
Nothing to start. We work on contingency, which means there is no upfront fee and no fee at all unless you hire someone we present. When you do hire, the fee and when it is due are set out in the recruiting agreement you sign before the search begins. We do not print a percentage on this page because the agreement, not a web page, is the source of truth for your search.
When is the fee due?
The fee becomes due only when a candidate we introduced accepts your offer and the conditions in the signed agreement are met. If you decide not to hire, if the role is cancelled or if you hire someone we did not present, you owe us nothing for that search.
What happens if a hire does not work out?
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
What we do not do
- No hourly billing for permanent searches.
- No retainers unless you specifically ask for one and agree it in writing.
- No reposting your job on boards and forwarding whoever applies.
- No charging candidates, ever.
- No contract or offshore staffing as a standard service. Contract, contract-to-hire and project crews are available on request only, on written terms.
What you get for the fee
A search run by people who recruit technology roles only. We calibrate the role with you, map the companies where the right people work, contact employed engineers and leaders who are not applying, qualify each one in a live conversation and send you a written brief on every person you meet. You interview and decide. We help with the offer and stay in touch through the start date.
Can you see the agreement before starting?
Yes. Ask for the standard recruiting agreement on your first call or through the proposal form. Read it, ask questions and change nothing until you are comfortable. Starting a conversation does not commit you to anything.

Working with Technology Headhunters
How long does it take to see a short list?
We first need to agree the opening and qualify people against it. Availability and the interview requirements affect the search; we do not promise a fixed deadline before reviewing the work.
What happens if a candidate receives a counteroffer?
We discuss the reason for considering a move before you invest in interviews. A counteroffer can change the decision, so we revisit that reason rather than assume more pay will settle it.
What don't you do in a permanent search?
We do not bill by the hour for permanent search or charge a retainer unless one is agreed. We do not treat reposting your job advertisement as headhunting.
